Lai Fung Tower has achieved LEED-CS for Building Design and Construction: Core and Shell Development pre-certification at the Gold category.
The LEED® green building certification is a recognized benchmark in US and even worldwide for the design, construction and operation of green building.
LEED CS (LEED for Core & Shell) is set up specifically for new buildings by sustainable evaluating their design and construction process from five categories: sustainable sites, water usage efficiency, energy and environment, materials and resources and interior environmental quality. The certification is not only to emphasize the building design has the function of energy saving and environmental protection, but also how the whole construction process control the pollutants and reduce the impact and damage to the environment, eventually achieve the harmonious integration of economic, environmental and social aspects.
